WHAAAAAT. LAUREN AND JORDAN ARE MARRIED?! Oh man oh man oh man. Before I get into how St. Bernard’s in Downtown, Akron is a gorgeous traditional cathedral and how Firestone Country Club never fails to disappoint, I must say this: I can’t begin to acknowledge how excited I am for these two. When two people are as beautiful on the inside as they are on the out, it makes for some gorgeous memories. If I hadn’t known them prior, their engagement session in Chicago (ALSO yes let’s not forget in Scotland) proved their zest for life and for each other. Making each and every session prime for any wedding photographer.
Let me point out, never have I ever walked into a reception hall and been so shocked. The entire room at Firestone Country Club was revamped, making it look like a DIY dream. From the chairs, to the tablescapes, to the floral backdrops, to even the cake. Shall I dare to mention how they had my pictures EVERYWHERE? And it’s even sweeter that they were SUPER large, black and white prints alllllll from our sessions. I’m still crying tears of sweet honor, don’t mind me.
The other thing I would love to note from this wedding is that Jordan and Lauren took moments to be present throughout their day. My most favorite was watching them sit together to take a breath before the cocktail hour began. If I could stress anything onto any new couple it would be to take those seconds, RELISH in that time, because you’ll blink and the entire day will have flown by.
