Ever wanted to attend a Stan Hywet Wedding ceremony? Envision this: you are surrounded by the most serene Fall foliage, stone backdrops, calming water ponds, and the mansion itself. You walk in, find your seat and a string quartet plays the most delightful, peaceful music. As the couple walks down the aisle, around a pond, you sit and wonder at this majestic sight. Almost as if it is straight from a romantic fairytale.
Anna and Dan combined their Stan Hywet wedding with a reception at the Akron Art Museum. I could embellish how it made me feel to watch one of my little sister’s friends from preschool walk down the aisle to the man she loves, but I’ll spare you. Instead let me take a moment to soak up the sight and perfecton that Stan Hywet creates when it comes to celebrating a ceremony. Anna and Dan’s planning skills definitely played a large roll in this perfection. From the strings to the attire, to the surprise officiant (Anna’s brother!), it made for two emotionally fueled I-do’s!
As far as determining locations: the ceremony took place right in the back of Stan Hywet house itself. We also did a first look in their English garden, and utilized as much of this Fall foliage plus the house for other snaps. The entire morning felt like a fairytale.
Now, let’s fast forward to the reception. Let me re-introduce the Akron Art Museum. These two wasted no time in securing a prime date at this venue. Add in the gardens themselves, with a wall full of windows, long tables elegantly decorated, an outdoor dance party, donuts for dessert, and even entrance to the exhibit for a few photo (see below for some goosebump captures!); the day was exquisite!
Superb work! You captured this love story so beautifully!!
