If you ever wanted to have a wedding in Downtown Cleveland look no further than the Westin. Just to name a few reasons: there are the gorgeous ballrooms (that need little to no decor), the beautiful two story suites to get ready, plus the proximity to downtown Cleveland. You can’t beat it! Over my years of photographing wedding in multiple downtown cities, this one takes the cake. Read on for Mike and Erin’s Westin Cleveland Downtown wedding below!
As if wedding weren’t full of emotion already, I grew up knowing Erin as the big sister to my best friend. Over the years, I heard about her accomplishment in catch up texts. The moment she found someone she wanted to spend the rest of her life with, happiness spread for her in my bones. She found someone whose love for Star Wars and all things fantasy pairs with hers. Combined with a wedding set around good food, happy people, and moments of just them: it was a perfect Fall day.
Downtown Cleveland plays host to so many perfect backdrops for wedding portraits. For Erin and Mike, they had their heart set on the lawn right outside Great Lakes Science Center. They paired this with Voinovich Bicentennial Park around the corner. Both overlook the beautiful lake and city scape! For any downtown wedding, I always recommend spaces that the couple feels best showcase what they love about the city.
First and foremost they booked the hotel to play host for their ceremony and reception. Using the same space for both has many pros. The biggest being, it eliminates the amount of movement you need to do on the day! As a couple, eliminating the rushed feeling fuels an abundance of space for relaxing in between events. Secondly, the space did not need much extra odds and ends. This left more room to showcase the food (yes this included the dessert bar). And above all, the dance floor was large enough to accomodate anyone and everyone in attendance! Scroll on down to see what I mean! // xo
