First, we conclude my October 2022 with a visit to this amazing country club once again. What can I say that hasn’t already been said about Fall weddings? Everything dear reader, everything. Each wedding is so unique. So as far as Christine and Michael’s? From beautiful, spine-chilling ceremonial music to visiting Stan Hywet in the Fall, this Portage Country Club Wedding in Akron, Ohio is one you do not want to miss.

Additionally, this was the final installment on Christine’s family weddings.

After capturing her other siblings (all within the past few years), I was given the immense honor to capture hers as well. Watching a family go through huge milestone moments is an indescribable feeling. As a photographer, it is a dream situation. The more you capture people, the more in tune you find yourself to their emotions. Each sibling owns their own personality, which opened up a huge box of creative intrigue and unique wedding planning. If you ever wanted a reason to remind you that people are not cookie cutter versions of each other, here it is.

Christine and Michael’s day perfectly them. Christine got ready at her parents home, surrounded by loved ones. The ceremony held musical selections performed by the Miami University Glee Club, sending chills down your spine. We toured the Stan Hywet grounds for all of those mouth-watering Fall views. Then they opted for a small drink with Family before their cocktail hour officially began, even having their pups face on napkins! Speeches during the day, and also at the rehearsal, attested to not only the love shared between the two of them, but also the love that their relationship has shown so many others over the years.

All planned by the lovely Eileen Benson, the details of this day were top notch. The linen color, gold accents – even in the chargers, unique candle holders, and those scrumptious floral designs made the room sparkle with magic. I know I say this over and over again, but details such as these create the exact feeling you want in a Reception room. Portage Country Club‘s space, allows you to create any feeling within those details!

Furthermore, these two are the ones you want to sit next to when you are old and gray on your front porch rocker. Their personalities consistently uplift those around them. Their happy is made for one another.
