Sarah and Mark’s backyard Tudor House Wedding on Portage Lakes, although the perfect “lake-side celebration”, was not what they originally planned.

This couple initially had their nuptials planned for Columbus. After a little pandemic, change of venue, the addition of a family member (you better scroll to see their rockstar kid), and a few other various maneuvers, they finally were able to celebrate their day!

Let me initially say that a summer wedding on Portage Lakes never disappoints! The Tudor House is an old, historic lake house with the perfect grounds to watch a sunset with your friends. If you want, you can even dock your boat right on the lake to take out. Sarah and Mark enhanced their backyard lake wedding experience with a beautiful tent, dance floor, and even a serenade by the bride’s brother!

In conclusion, I give you the ultimate magical sign: a rainbow in the sky! I did not photoshop it, I promise! It was 100% real!

To add though, these are two of my favorite human beings, hands down. I could list a thousand descriptive words, but just know that my husband and I don’t “attempt to fix” a coffee pot for just anyone ;). Side note: we did not fix it, we actually made it worse, and is probably the number one reason why you should also hire a wedding planner or at least someone who can read directions on setting up a large industrial coffee machine! Nevertheless, Woody and I constantly find ourselves reminiscing on how perfect their day was for their love story, and we cannot wait to watch their family adventures grow!
