What do you get when you put together a beautifully confident clan of bridesmaids, a group of sports enthusiast groomsmen, a Cleveland dive bar, and rubber ducky cake toppers? You get Ellen and Mark and their wedding day. That’s what you get.
First things first – I love Cleveland and everything it has to offer – especially the hidden gems you didn’t know existed. We had some time after their first look and hopped on the bus to tour Cleveland, stopping at some highlighted spots and then, wait for it: …a bar! to decompress. It was there that they had sandwiches and drinks and chilled from the July heat. Is it bad that that was my favorite part of the day photograph? The bride and groom in their alllll time natural element. Playing ski-ball and hanging out with their humans, it was perfect way to enjoy being bride and groom before becoming husband and wife.
That is not to exclude any other part of their day because it was GLORIOUS. Haha from Mark’s face at the first look, to the amazing architecture from their venue, to Ellen’s dad and a bag over his head so he doesnt’ ruin their first look, to EVERY SINGLE MOMENT of their day. The energy, yet laid-back calmness that these two brought to their wedding was unmatched. I adored having the honor to capture their day in all its glory.
