Most of the time my “destination weddings” happen close to my home. Urbana, not too far outside of Columbus, holds the quintessential small-town charm those Hallmark movies crave. Liz grew up here. Even in her inquiry she described Urbana as a “small town but quaint and has my heart.” The reception hall, she said, was a family-run place she frequented since she was born. Urbana Country Club has so much hidden charm. The reception hall felt as if I stepped right into a movie. With all the windows and tented draping covering the ceiling, it felt as if a fairytale had swept me off my feet. Among the pristine, manicured lawns, you’ll also find a beautiful terrace overlooking the grounds. Dare I say a perfect place to enjoy memories over the years from small to big (like this one!)?

With fairytale feels come artistic fun. Imagine dresses gliding along the floors as dancing is swept away. Imagine laughter from toasts all in good jest. Or even, live music helping you dance into the night and ice cubes etched with your name. Finally, let’s not forget the most beautiful, creative, gradient of blue dessert table I had ever seen. I will never joke about dessert, and these looked too good to consume!

Dare I also mention the reason we were actually celebrating: Liz + Danny.
