Capturing Leanna and Patrick’s wedding in New Hampshire was not the original plan. As life proves though, beautiful moments come out of chaotic ones, and this was one of them. By the luck of every straw, I was able to keep Leanna and Patrick on my 2020 wedding list. They found the magic of a 2020 intimate elopement-style wedding.
Since they reside in New England, finding a spot for their nuptials was not hard. Even though New Hampshire and Vermont are filled with beautiful areas, Saint-Gauden’s National Historic Park won the gambit! With it’s luscious gardens, and beautiful nooks and crannies, we stepped right into a romance novel.
Leanna and Patrick planned a day just for them. I preach the “you do you” theme to all my couples, but I understand how tough it can be. Weddings are a mixture of everyone and everything while planning. It’s hard to remain glued to that notion.
So instead of writing from my own recollection, let’s hear from Leanna’s Instagram instead: “…I’ve found many silver linings in this horrific pandemic, but I think the biggest one so far has been the wedding that we did have. I [wrote] and read vows that were unguarded and from the heart without worrying about getting too emotional in front of hundreds of people. No one stopped me from wearing the Chacos I bought for this day right after we got engaged. I got to get married in view of a mountain and then ate the best fried chicken sandwich and cupcakes in our driveway with the finest selection of craft beer we could gather. It was wonderful, and everyone involved was happy, relaxed, and safe…”
