Waters Edge Vineyard Wedding, Louisville, Ohio | Elaina & Chad

Sometimes there are moments of a wedding that just end up verrrrry differently than planned.
The trick with getting through chaos is to first: have hired a wedding planner / coordinator!

If you didn’t: at least make sure to NOT bob and weave.
You need to roll.
Roll with whatever is happening.
Find some excitement in the fact that life has its own agenda for how your magical day should be.

As much time as you spend planning, detailing, and confirming, weddings have a mind of their own. I could give examples, but I’m not going to. I just wanted to note that this wedding had moments that didn’t go as planned, and Chad and Elaina rolllllllled with all the punches.

From a vendor perspective, a couple that can roll is probably an ideal couple.
The definition of an “ideal couple” has nothing to do with the venue, how long they’ve been together, what they look like or even what they fed you for dinner.
It is how they dictate what takes precedent in their mindset. What gets them excited? What sets them off? What do they hold most important? Is it the marriage or the timeline of the day?
Life is messy, to say the least, but if your couple can roll – gosh darn it they deserve a thousand light beams of sunshine.

This day from start to finish was a beauuuuut! It may have helped that within the past two years, at least half the bridal party had been in front of my camera. But more than not, it’s because the energy they created and every moment that came along was MEANT to be!

The outdoor ceremony in the grotto was soo unique I wanted to cry. Elaina’s dress was MADE and DESIGNED by her grandmother, which if you don’t have tears in your eyes now, just wait until you scroll. Chad’s brothers all spoke at the reception and had the entire place rolling in laughter. I could go on and on, but I would rather let the photos speak for themselves. // xoxo
