Traditional churches are something I truly enjoy capturing. I think it’s mostly on the grand thought that if these walls could talk, they would know about love. The amount of marriages witnessed among stain glass windows, paintings and sculptures gives my Art History classes a moment. I feel as if I’m taken back to a city I’ve never been, seeing something for the first time. There is a peacefulness to it that draws me in.
In addition, Eryn & Joe’s day did not stay at St. Matthew. After their fun Ceremony Exit, we drove through some torrential (super fun!) rain straight to the Stan Hywet Gardens. I’ve spoken about Stan Hywet a few times on the blog, and trust me there is more to come. This property never disappoints, even in the rain. It is full of so many serene backdrops, continuing that momentum of peace from the Ceremony up to Cocktail Hour. We frolicked among the English Garden, the bridges, pergolas, and birch trees, capturing all the fun and love.
From there we traveled to Cocktail Hour and a Reception hosted at the Sheraton in Cuyahoga Falls. Another top notch spot for so many weddings. Their ballroom you can create into just about any design. Eryn and Joe took their soft purple and floral designs to each table. Solidifying with floating candles and a bottle of wine (seriously such a fun idea!) for everyone to admire, and taste. Their dance floor and cookie table were full through the night!
