We need more winter weddings in this world. First and foremost they are magical and full of joy. However, this one had a particular Christmas flair. So, let’s dive right into Morgan and Mike’s Club at Hillbrook Wedding.
Then, add in some reds, greens, a few “it’s a wonderful life sayings”, canadians, homemade beer, a boozy hot cocoa and cider bar, candle lit dinner spaces, a vinyl / record guest book, bottles of wine and pomegranates as table decor, and you have this evening. Also, I may or may not have been very very pregnant while capturing their love. So, my hormones while writing about this day are more emotional than normal.
Knowing Morgan and Mike opened a world of absolute cheer. They are my definition of “cool”. Imagine those swave popular kids with that air of mystery to them at the lunch table. Yup, that is Morgan and Mike. Both also have a huge sense of family – especially seen in all of Morgan’s brothers. Each one gave her a rose as her dad walked her down the aisle. These two even had illustrations by Morgan’s father on display. Adorable renditions of their first grade selves, which were similar to a gift to Morgan’s mom on his own wedding day. They also went the non traditional route for speeches, and had an array of loved ones stand up to talk during their dinner. Even having two friends MC their evening to kick it off! 🙂
This was my first Club at Hillbrook wedding. I can say with intense certainty that if you want a Christmas or winter-themed wedding: this venue does it best! The different spaces at Hillbrook allow for the maximum coziness, plus they have overnight accomodations on site. Imagine a picturesque bed and breakfast, with leather couch libraries, wine rooms, large paintings, beautiful wood work, and a 50-acre estate that holds that magical woodsy feel. Their actual reception space overlooks the grounds adding to the sprinkle of magic. The best part of finding a venue like this is that those winter feels are built right in!
Such an honor, so scroll down to see what I mean // xo
