It is a magical thing this job of mine. Some days I get to create new memories in places I’ve seen a thousand times. This venue for instance: I lifeguarded at Silver Lake Country Club for seven years. So when Jason and Paige asked me to capture their wedding at SLCC, pulling into the parking lot came with a flood of memories. The people I worked alongside made it a joy to arrive every day, get a sweet tan, and smell like chlorine for 3 months.

Jason was a year younger than me in highschool, and knowing him then was a true treat. First and foremost: he has a constant smile on his face. This makes for a perfect subject, and an even more perfect groom! The fun part was watching him and Paige interact. There was an endless amount of emotion that followed. Tears of happiness flew every which way, making my job incredibly easy.

Second, can we talk reception dinners? Because these two had Mexican food! ALL THE HECK YES. I’m proud of them for planning to eat something they not only enjoyed, but also had a impact on their relationship. Throw away the typical reception food and make it your own! Finally, after maneuvering through Cuyahoga Falls, listening to some pretty epic speeches and an Irish blessing, plus these amazing video skills by Andrew, I am honored to look back on this day with such a warm heart!
