The ocean holds so many of my favorite memories. From family vacations to internships to just watching the sun rise. It is a place that calms my entire spirt and allows my life to take a pause. With that said, I think I found my sweet spot. The end all be all. One where I can now officially be at peace with myself and the middle of wedding season: WEDDINGS BY THE OCEAN. Done. I can peacefully swift off to sleep now, thank you.

I think you get where I’m going, but just in case  – Reanna and Kyle had a beautiful intimate wedding ceremony in Hilton Head over the Fourth of July. And when I say intimate – I mean intimate. These two did everything my heart loves. They got ready with their best of friends, had a small moment together prior to the ceremony, and ended the evening celebrating with their immediate families and cocktails on the patio before dinner. I was only there to capture 3 hours of their day, and to be honest that is ALL I needed.

Their marriage and their love was at the forefront of it all. The fact that they were focusing on the rest of their lives together was the purest, most beautiful form of a wedding. They chose a location that meant the most to them and invited the people that held their memories.  My heart is glowing a thousand times brighter as I type this.

To make it even sweeter – a few years back I captured Kelly’s (Reanna’s best friend) wedding. During the reception Kyle came up to me asking me for a card so he would be ready when the time was right. I popped out a business card and fast forward to two years later: to the beach we went!
