The Royal Sonesta, New Orleans Wedding | Tomilee & Brian!!

Whaaaaat? Did you read that right? New Orleans? Yup. You read that correctly! This May I traveled down to NOLA to capture these two and their families celebrating such a day. SO why am I excited to tell you about a New Orleans wedding? Well let’s say there were TONS of things that us midwestern Ohioans just don’t get to experience.

I think the most unique was the “Second Line.” No it is not a receiving line, like I initially thought. It is more like a parade! One amazing parade – including the bride and groom, a brass band, and alllllll of your wedding guests (plus the people of Bourbon Street)! Yup, one loop from your Ceremony / Cocktail Hour to your Reception. To do what now? To get the party freaking started! I’m still geeking out about it!

This is also the second time I’ve captured a Reilly wedding, and I am still unsure what to do with all the emotions associated with this beautiful family. The energy and love spread throughout this intimately huge clan spreads far and wide to everyone they know. I cannot thank them enough for allowing me the honor to capture the final Reilly man to be married! I could go into detail about how I’ve known them since my awkward grade school years but I’ll save you and just say they are still the kindest souls I’ve ever met.

We’ll end this by saying how incredible Tomilee and Brian are together. Humble, yet forces to be reckoned with, they fill each others hearts with not only love and incredible generosity, but also a ton of laughter and fun. I’d say it’s a timeless kind of love 🙂 One that left me smiling weeeeeks after this wedding ended!

But I know why you are here – scroll on guys, scroll on! // xo riss
